Rapid Prompting Method - Education and Communication

RPM is used to teach academics, and communication is also taught in the process. Despite behaviors, the academic focus of every RPM lesson is designed to activate the reasoning part of the brain so that the student becomes distracted by and engaged in learning.

RPM is distinct from other methods as it is based upon how the brain works. The aim is to bring the student to maximum learning through the open learning channel and to elicit the best (not simply to test) out of the child to enable maximum output in that given time. As a student’s cognitive and motor proficiency increases, the sophistication of a student’s response also improves.

VB-MAPP and Assessment Online Training

The Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP) is a language assessment based on B.F. Skinner’s Verbal Behavior (1957), a landmark analysis in the study of language and the teaching methodology of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). It is a behavioral approach to language assessment and can be used for any individual with significant language delays regardless of age.
There are 5 components of the VB-MAPP:
  • Milestones Assessment:
  • Barriers Assessment
  • Transition Assessment
  • Task Analysis and Supporting Skills
  • Placement and IEP Goals

The formal roots of the Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI) Method began with Dr. Masgutova in 1989.The primary focus of the MNRI Method is to support the integration process of primary motor reflex patterns regardless of a person’s condition or age.

Blomberg Rhythmic Movement Training (RMT)

Rhythmic Movement Training is a motor training program developed on the basis of the spontaneous rhythmic movements that infants normally do. Dr Harald Blomberg has based his program on rhythmic exercises that he learnt in 1985  from a Swedish body therapist, Kerstin Linde.  Experience from working with severely motor handicapped children made him conclude that the spontaneous rhythmic baby movements are of fundamental importance both for motor abilities and for development of many faculties e.g. speech, emotions and vision and are necessary for the maturation of the infant´s brain.
